KENYA/ UGANDA COMBINED SAFARIS

ARSKUS  001 - 20 Days Nairobi | Maasai Mara | Lake Nakuru | Samburu | Mt.Kenya |Aberdares |Amboseli | Tsavo West |Gorilla Trek.

Day 1.Nairobi.

Arrival in Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Met and welcomed. Transfer to park side Hotel. bed/breakfast.

Day 2.Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

Depart Nairobi morning for the journey through the floor of the Great Rift Valley, Ascend the western rim of the valley crossing the loita plains view game enroute. Arrive Mara National reserve in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at campsite.

Day 3-4. Maasai Mara ;

A full day in the vast plains of Mara with Morning and afternoon game drives. search for the "Big five" as you explore the famous Mara reserve. Meals and overnight at campsite.

Day 5; Lake Nakuru National Park;

Pre-breakfast game drive, after breakfast proceed to the famous lake Nakuru, often referred to as the Pink Lake and a Bird watcher's .Besides birds there are a variety of wild game including the "Big Five" except the elephants. Lunch at camp. Afternoon game viewing at the park to savour the beauty of the Park. Dinner and overnight at campsite.

Day 6.Samburu National Reserve.

Morning game viewing at the Pink lake ,it's a bird watchers paradise. It has a surprisingly number of animals,it is a rhino sanctuary and  the "Big Five" except the elephant can be seen here, Breakfast at the campsite and depart for Samburu  driving through changing terrain to the rugged semi-desert region of Samburu, Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at campsite. (L,D)

Day 7.Samburu.

Full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. Search for the stars of Samburu; reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Somali Ostrich,Grevy's Zebra, Gerenuk, Vulturine Guinea Fowl among plenty of other wild game. Optional Visit to the Samburu villages. Meals and overnight at campsite. (B,L,D)

Day 8.Samburu -  Mt.Kenya

Breakfast in Samburu and depart for Mt. Kenya  arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Optional activities including horse rides among other activities. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Rock hotel.

Day 9.Aberdares(Treetops).

Depart Nakuru after breakfast  and drive to the shoulders of Mt. Kenya arriving at the Outspan Golf & Country Club for lunch. After lunch transfer by lodge vehicle to the Treetops Lodge   where from the lodge balcony you view game that oftenly visit the floodlit waterhole and saltlick--e.g. elephants, rhino, buffalo and giant forest hog. Dinner and overnight at Treetops Lodge.

Day 10. Nairobi.

Breakfast at Treetops lodge and depart for Nairobi arriving  in the afternoon. overnight at park side hotel bed/breakfast.

Day 11.Amboseli National Park.

Depart Nairobi in the morning and proceed to Amboseli at the foot of the mighty snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, Game viewing enroute  to the lodge for lunch .Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Lodge. (L,D).

Day 12.Amboseli

Morning and afternoon game viewing inside the park. Amboseli is a photogenic Park and hosts great number of game including the lion, elephant and the splendid cheetah. Meals and overnight at Amboseli lodge. (B,L,D).

Day 13.Tsavo West National Park.

Morning game viewing in Amboseli. Breakfast and depart for Tsavo West  arriving at Kilaguni lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive to search for the "Big Five" among plenty of other plains game. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. (L,D).

Day 14.Tsavo West.

Morning and afternoon game drive inside the Park. Visit the Mzima Springs where from an observation tank you view hippos walking the flow of the springs, you can also see crocodiles and a variety of fish. Meals and overnight at Kilaguni lodge. (B,L,D).

Day 15. Nairobi.

After breakfast in Tsavo ,Depart for Nairobi with game viewing as you leave the Park. Arrive Nairobi in the afternoon and connect for the evening Public Bus to Kampala to arrive  the following morning.

Day 16: Kampala

Depart Kampala and Take a 5 hour road transfer to the Agip Motel for dinner and overnight stay. 

Day 17: Bwindi

Morning breakfast then take a 5 hour road transfer on a very good road to the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Home to the Mountain Gorillas. In the evening, take to the Munyaga Trail to explore the Freshness of the Forest on a Nature walk along the River Munyaga. Dinner and overnight at the Bwindi Tented Camp. 

Day 18: Bwindi

After breakfast, report at the park offices for a briefing by the ranger guides prior to the trek to find the Mountain Gorillas with picnic lunch. The gorillas are tracked, located and after approximately one hour with them, return to base for a shower and cold drink. Dinner and overnight at Bwindi Tented Camp. 

Day 19: Kabale

Travel to Kabale For Lunch at the Lake Bunyonyi where you could also take a Canoe ride to explore the many Islands. Later, depart for Mbarara arriving for dinner and night stay at the Agip Motel. 

Day 20: Kampala

After morning breakfast transfer to Kampala to connect for the evening  Bus to Nairobi to arrive the following morning.
